Answer: Yes. In order to access the case-based online Learning Modules and your personalized My CME Profile, please complete the free registration.

Do I have to be a physician to access the site?


Answer: No. The Website is available to everyone who wishes to register. However, this site is intended for medical professionals. You may only claim AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ if you are eligible to do so.

I forgot my password. What can I do?


Answer: If you have forgotten your password, please click on the "Forgot password?" link which is found on the Login bar. You will be instructed to submit your username (the e-mail address which was used to register on the site). Your password will be e-mailed to that address.

How does the "Remember Me" feature work?


Answer: When you check the "Remember Me" option during Login, you will be automatically logged in to your account each time you visit Mechanisms in Fungal Infections from the same web browser on the same computer. Once you log out of the Website, by clicking the "logout" link, this information will no longer be stored.

Always remember to logout if you have accessed your account from a shared computer, or you wish to protect the security of your account.

What steps are involved in completing the Learning Modules?


Answer: Once you have logged into the Website, you will be directed to your My CME Profile page, where you may select which Learning Module you wish to complete.

Each Learning Module is comprised of several required sections, which must be reviewed in order to proceed to the next section. These include a Slide Presentation, Case Studies and Animations.

Once all sections have been viewed, you will be directed to the Post-test. In order to become eligible to claim the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ designated for the activity, a score of 6/10 or higher is required. Finally, you must complete the Program Evaluation.

Once all sections have been completed, you will be able to download your Certificate of Completion from your My CME Profile page, along with the program content.

Why does nothing happen when I attempt to open the first required section within the Learning Module?


Answer: Javascript, "cookies" and "pop-ups" must be enabled. You can enable these features on a per-site basis in most browsers (Mechanisms in Fungal Infections contains no advertising).

How do I advance to the next section of a Learning Module, once I have viewed the preceding section?


Answer: Once you have viewed a section within a Learning Module and are ready to move on to the next section, please click the "Return to Menu" button located in the top, right corner of the screen. This will direct you to the Learning Module Menu, where you may select the next section.

Must I complete a Learning Module during one visit to a site?


Answer: No. When you begin a Learning Module, it will appear under the "Current Learning Module(s) – in progress" section at the top of your CME Profile page. If you must exit the site before completing the module, on your next visit simply click "Resume Activity" to continue.
